About the Event
Join us for a practical on-farm event exploring Controlled Traffic Farming (CTF) and its benefits for soil health, fuel efficiency, and crop productivity. Hosted by Nick August on his farm outside Burford, this session will cover how CTF reduces compaction, improves drainage, and enhances soil structure - key considerations for resilient farming on Cotswold soils. As well as this, we will have a chance to look at Nick's SFI actions.
Hear from Nick on machinery setup, GPS guidance, and practical implementation, with demonstrations and plenty of time for discussion.
As well as this, Nick will also be talking about the release of the Handbook for Controlled Traffic Farming. This guide will be extremely helpful for anyone interested in CTF and its implementation.
