Catchment Sensitive Farming Advice

From late 2024, the Cluster is able to offer support from Catchment Sensitive Farming Advisor Tom Hall.

Tom’s knowledge on schemes is invaluable, and he will also help orient members to the projects, events and connections available through Cluster participation. Tom will be able to assist with any ELMS query, and connect you to other organisations, government bodies and advice if necessary.

We are grateful to a partnership with Natural England and match funding from the Evenlode Smarter Water Catchment project that enables us to host the role.

“My name is Tom Hall, and I’m excited to join the North East Cotswold Farmer Cluster as your new in-house Catchment Sensitive Farming Advisor (CSFA). I’m working in partnership with the NECFC and Natural England to provide expert advice on Environmental Land Management Schemes (ELMS).

I bring two years of experience as a CSFA, most recently in the Gloucestershire and the Vale catchment. I’m eager to answer any questions you may have, especially around funding schemes like the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) and Countryside Stewardship Higher Tier.

I’m also here to help with advice on yard works, field options, and other funding streams. Through the Capital Grant Scheme, I can approve infrastructural works such as roofing, concrete, drainage, and more. While funding is competitive and not guaranteed, my advice is always free and available.

In addition to technical advice, I’ll keep you updated with important news, upcoming events, and key things to consider for the future. Feel free to reach out - I'm here to be your one point of contact!

The best way to get in touch is via email tom@cotswoldfarmers.org or phone 07774347564.”
